Change of Mind
A limited voluntary return policy applies only to selected unused trailer parts that meet every stated condition.
King Kong Trailers Refund & Returns Policy
Understand how change-of-mind requests, trailer purchases, faulty or non-compliant products, return transport and delivery cancellations are handled.
Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Change-of-mind conditions operate separately from product-fault rights.
Policy Overview
Eligibility depends on what was purchased, whether it has been collected, delivered, installed, modified or used, and whether the request concerns change of mind or a possible product problem.
A limited voluntary return policy applies only to selected unused trailer parts that meet every stated condition.
Change-of-mind returns are not accepted after a trailer has been collected or delivered, regardless of registration status.
A possible fault, major problem or failure to meet a consumer guarantee is assessed separately from an ordinary change-of-mind request.
Delivery cancellation requires written notice at least 24 hours before the delivery vehicle is scheduled to depart.
Before returning anything
Have the invoice number, purchase date and branch details ready.
Identify the product and clearly explain why a return or remedy is requested.
Do not post, transport or deliver the product until instructions are provided.
Selected Trailer Parts
This voluntary change-of-mind offer applies only to the selected products listed below when the request is made within seven days of the invoice date and all return conditions are satisfied.
Return request period
The seven-day period begins on the date shown on the original King Kong Trailers invoice.
Eligible only when unused and retained in its original product packaging.
Eligible only when unused and retained in its original product packaging.
Eligible only when unused and retained in its original product packaging.
Eligible only when unused and retained in its original product packaging.
All conditions apply
Approved return
An eligible approved refund is returned to the original payment method, unless another method is agreed.
Trailer Purchases
Trailer purchases, installed accessories, completed modifications and related services are treated differently from selected unused parts.
Once a trailer has been collected or delivered, King Kong Trailers does not accept a return or refund where the customer has simply changed their mind. This applies regardless of whether the trailer is registered, unregistered or awaiting registration.
All trailer categories and models collected from a branch or supplied by arranged delivery.
Installed or modified cages, ramps, ladder racks, canvas covers and other fitted products.
Completed installation, modification, replacement work and associated labour charges accepted at handover.
Spare wheels are not covered by the voluntary change-of-mind parts policy. Delivery cancellation is handled separately.
Before accepting the trailer
Check the trailer model, size, ATM, quoted specifications, installed accessories, invoice details and visible condition. Raise questions with the KKT team before completing the handover.
Faulty or Non-Compliant Products
Product concerns are assessed separately from change-of-mind requests. The available solution depends on the nature, seriousness and cause of the issue.
Potential safety concern
If you believe continued use may be unsafe, stop using or towing the product and contact King Kong Trailers before further use.
Provide proof of purchase, identify the trailer or product and explain when the issue first occurred.
Photos, video, documents and details of previous repairs or work may assist the initial review.
The product may need to be inspected or tested before the cause and seriousness of the issue can be confirmed.
Once assessed, the available repair, replacement, refund or other remedy will be discussed.
Major product problem
A problem may be major where the product is unsafe, very different from its description, has a serious problem that would have prevented purchase, or cannot perform its intended purpose and cannot easily be fixed.
Minor product problem
Where a problem is not major and can be fixed, the initial remedy may be a free repair completed within a reasonable time. Further remedies may apply if the problem is not fixed within a reasonable time.
A remedy may not apply where the issue was caused by misuse, overloading, incorrect operation or use contrary to instructions.
A claim may be affected where the specific problem was clearly disclosed before purchase and accepted by the customer.
A remedy may not apply where the problem was caused by unauthorised repairs, modifications or damage caused by another person.
Return and transport costs
Where a product is confirmed to have a problem, reasonable return costs may be reimbursed. Keep detailed invoices and receipts for postage, towing or transportation. Large or difficult-to-return products may require collection or another agreed arrangement.
Delivery Arrangements
Delivery cancellation requests are subject to a written-notice period. Product concerns discovered at delivery are handled separately.
Written cancellation required
A written cancellation request must be received at least 24 hours before the delivery vehicle is scheduled to depart. A telephone conversation alone may not complete the cancellation.
Advise us as soon as you know the arranged delivery needs to be cancelled.
Include the customer name, invoice number and scheduled delivery details.
We will review the notice period, vehicle departure status and delivery costs.
Where a delivery refund is approved, follow the secure payment instructions provided.
The request can be reviewed under the stated delivery cancellation policy.
The delivery may already be committed, scheduled or loaded.
Change-of-mind cancellation is not available after the delivery vehicle departs.
When the delivery arrives
Confirm the trailer model, size and quoted configuration.
Check the visible condition for transportation damage.
Confirm accessories and other invoice items are present.
Photograph and report visible concerns promptly.

Contacting KKT or submitting information begins the review process. It does not automatically confirm return eligibility, refund approval, warranty coverage, transport reimbursement or a particular remedy.
Your Statutory Rights
The voluntary change-of-mind policy does not replace, limit or remove consumer guarantees that apply by law.
Important legal information
A business is not generally required to provide a remedy when a customer received what they ordered and simply changed their mind. However, different rights may apply where goods or services fail to meet a consumer guarantee.
KKT may reasonably inspect or assess the product before confirming the appropriate remedy.
The consumer may choose a refund or same-type replacement.
The business may initially provide a free repair within a reasonable time.
Original packaging cannot be required as a condition of seeking an ACL remedy.
The seven-day period applies only to the voluntary selected-parts change-of-mind offer.
Independent information is available from the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission.
